What is the same between anglo saxon religion and christianity?

Anglo-Saxon is a combination of two peoples who ruled in ancient england They had many religious beliefs that were not christian. Christianity, however is the belief in one God, His Son Jesus the anointed or the Christ and the Holy Spirit. When the Romans conquered England they brought Christianity to England and the Anglos and the Saxons. Catholics first were the main denomination, but the Church of England latter ruled.
