Is there a band called yellow?

last night a song came on in the pub where i was and the dj said it was by yellow.its hard to describe but the man sings,then some sort of slow funky beat comes on,then hes woohing and hes sayin something like i wish i was or i wish i want,i only want to know as my mum,s insistin its status quo,any ideas pleaseeeeeeeee??
