A question involving some thinking?
No. It is true that the subconscious takes in a vast amount of information but when we enter the dream state our brain is preoccupied with other things. I like to think of our brains as a jockey. which is the conscious part of our brain and the race horse itself is the subconcious. The horse is powerful and fast, it has the power to win the race in the shortest time possible but without a jockey the horse is useless. The best way to improve our memory is to relax and focus on what it is that we are trying to remember. If we don't relax our conscious brain gets in the way, interfering with the function of our subconcious. Also during the dream state our ability to think critically about things is impaired. In my last dream, the character Data from Star Trek TNG was changing into a woman, and at no point did I question this. I don't even watch Star Trek. What good is a huge memory if we cannot critically process the information. Savant Autistics have this problem. They can read a whole book in minutes but they don't understand it.
