Please answer this question!?

Python programming language with Pygame is my ideal source of computer programming. I have been using this for quite a while now, and have gotten pretty good at making some small video games. Examples: Tic-Tac-Toe, Hangman, and a couple guessing games. I really want to be able to make a game that have pictures or images in it (with colors). How can i do this with Python + Pygame? Can i use a different interpreter such as Java, C++, Basic, or XNA?
